Dr. Quianta Moore is a Child Health Policy Fellow at the Baker Institute for Public Policy. Her research focuses on developing empirically informed policies to advance the health of children. Dr. Moore utilizes mixed methodologies, including community-based participatory research and surveys, to gain insight into the health needs of communities and to develop data-driven, tailored health policy recommendations. Moreover, she helps funders and community stakeholders develop strategies to support an equitable future for children and the communities in which they reside. Her most recent work involved identifying and making policy recommendations to improve early childhood development, some of which were given to President Trump’s transition team. Additionally, she was also part of the Mayor’s Task Force on Equity. Dr. Moore received a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Cornell University, a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and an M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine.
