Caroline Fernandez is a public health advisor for SAMHSA’s Homeless Programs Branch at the Center for Mental Health Services and serves as the director of the Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH) program. Before joining SAMHSA, she worked for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs. Prior to joining HUD she also served as the deputy project director for the PATH program evaluation. She has a background in clinical social work and working with people experiencing homelessness who have behavioral health conditions.
