Nicole Sweazy serves as executive director of the Louisiana Housing Authority under the Louisiana Housing Corporation and the chair of the Governor's Council on Homelessness. She is responsible for administering funds to help homeless and disabled households with rental assistance, homeless prevention, rapid rehousing, supportive services and the Balance of State Continuum of Care. Prior to working at the Louisiana Housing Corporation she served as the social services manager at the Louisiana Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit. Nicole has worked in affordable housing for eighteen years. She is also a Housing and Economic Development Finance Professional and serves on the board of the National Leased Housing Association. Nicole is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where she earned a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in public service and leadership.
