CeMarr joined The Link in 2016. Previously, CeMarr worked as Lead Advocate, Transitional Housing Advocate, and Permanent Housing Advocate at Breaking Free, a St. Paul-based non-profit, educating and providing services to sexually exploited women and girls. CeMarr’s extensive experience working with at-risk populations and her insight into the particular vulnerabilities of LGBTQ youth enable her to develop creative strategies for reaching this population, as well as for providing advocacy that is specialized, relevant, and culturally-specific.
CeMarr currently oversees LGBTQ programming for The Link's Housing and Homeless Services Division. As the Program Manager for The Link's Project Live Out Loud Program, Minnesota's first and only culturally-specific Rapid Re-housing program, CeMarr has worked alongside youth to build and create programming specifically tailored for LGBTQ-youth experiencing homelessness.
