Patrice Dickson is currently the Acting Chief Operations Officer of Social Services for Utah Community Action. In this position, she oversees the operations of social services for the agency: the Housing and Case Management Department, including homeless and diversion services, HEAT, Weatherization, food pantries and facilities,. Prior to her current position, she served as the HEAT Program Manager and as a Health and Family Partnership Coordinator for Head Start. Her career focus has been working to empower and advocate for children and families in poverty. Patrice has a Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Consumer Studies from the University of Utah. She was a member of Golden Key Honor Society, Omicron Nu Honor Society and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. She served on Utah State Women’s Legislative Council involved on the committee dealing with family policy. She served as State Vice-President for Citizens for Families, a group dedicated to education for families, establishing community values and political advocacy for families. She is a past Board Member for United Cerebral Palsy and currently participates on advocacy, housing and homelessness committees, including Collective Impact, Continuum of Care and 211 Steering Council.
