Diane moved to Mobile from Birmingham nearly twenty years ago to embark upon serving some of Mobile county’s most stressed and traumatized families. It was her passion then and now to help struggling families find health and stability. An experienced nonprofit professional, she is currently executive director of Family Promise of Coastal Alabama, a program that coordinates shelter and services for families who are experiencing homelessness. Her prior community involvement includes serving on the Mobile-Baldwin Continuum of Care Board which coordinates federally required activities for homeless service providers. She presently serves on the Mobile County DHR Quality Assurance Committee and BancorpSouth Community Reinvestment Act Nonprofit Committee. In November 2017, she had the pleasure of speaking at the City of Mobile Homelessness Summit. In January 2018, she served as a panelist at Redemption in Black and White, a forum on race, where she spoke regarding bias in the social service sector, including where you it intersects with faith-based service. She is a psychology graduate of the University of Alabama, a recipient of the Mobile Community Action Community Service Award and of the Blacks in Government Community Service Award.
