Christine ‘Krickette’ Wetherington works at Valley of the Sun United Way as a Director in the Community Impact department, where she currently focuses her efforts on breaking the cycle of poverty and ending homelessness. She has spent over 20 years in the social services field working to eradicate poverty and its effects. Ms. Wetherington holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Wyoming and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the Jane Addams of Social Work at the University of Illinois in Chicago which has allowed her to work in several areas to promote social justice, equity and community development though advocacy and systems change.
Krickette is passionate about learning, crafting, reading and anything involving coconut. She has four children, four cats and has made Gilbert her home for the last 14 years.
