Meg Pohodich is the CEO of Harmony House, Inc. who works to provide housing and stability to chronically homeless and extremely low income persons.
Meg believes that housing and healthcare are human rights. Her great passion is helping those who have fallen through the cracks of the system that has failed them; to help them navigate uncertainty. She understands that no single approach is the answer to ending homelessness and treats each Harmony House program as an individual entity with specific needs. These programs include a worker dorm for men, 200 permanent supportive housing units, a respite care program and a tuberculosis facility.
Before devoting her work full-time to helping those experiencing homelessness, she gained her experience in elder care from being a hospice community liaison to being the Director of Marketing and Admissions at a Senior Care Community. All the while, volunteering countless hours feeding and assisting the homeless in her spare time.
Meg, along with 4 other MBA students, founded the University of Houston-Downtown MBA Student Association. She served as the Vice President until she graduated. She served as the Secretary of the Board of Directors at Magnificat House and on the Board of Directors at Harmony House, Inc. for two years until becoming the current Chief Executive Officer.
Meg holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston-Downtown.
