Jesse Rabinowitz is the Advocacy and Campaign Manager at Miriam’s Kitchen, a DC based nonprofit working to end chronic homelessness in DC. He manages The Way Home Campaign, a grassroots advocacy effort to end chronic homelessness in DC that is supported by 102 organizations and 5,500 individuals.
Jesse believes that lifting up the expertise of people with lived experience of homelessness and using a racial justice lens are critical to ending homelessness. He is a seasoned social justice advocate with a passion for creating meaningful change through community organizing, direct action and relationship building. Prior to joining Miriam's Kitchen, Jesse held significant leadership roles at Avodah: The Jewish Service Corps, American Jewish World Service, and Jews United for Justice. Jesse has his Masters in Social Work from Howard University and a B.S. in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Maryland.
